SEND – LOCAL OUTREACH:

Throughout the year we have many outreaches serving our local community and the broader community of Colorado.  Listed below are a few of these outreaches.

Food Pantry and Benevolence:

For many years our community has been blessed to come to our main campus to receive food and have other needs met through our food pantry and benevolence ministry. Through meeting these needs we have shared the gospel countless times and praise God that many have come to faith in Jesus.

Neighbor Reach:

Our main church campus is surrounded by apartment buildings and schools. Every year we host a handful of events at some of these apartment buildings where we cook up BBQ food, play music, and bring fun games for families to enjoy and for us to develop relationships with our neighbors. We also bring in magicians to wow the children and share the gospel. This is volunteer driven and led by our missions’ staff.

Special Events:

Many of our local BBQ’s set the stage for us to invite our neighbors to our church property to enjoy a summer concert in our ECHO concert series. Geared toward youth and young adults these concerts express God’s love in a way that the next generation can relate to.

We also have our annual Harvest Gathering on the evening of Halloween that brings hundreds of our neighbors into the church to have a safe and fun evening for the kids.

Eagle Lake Camp:

Another result of our local BBQ’s is that it gives us time to invite children 7-12 years old to our main campus for a week long Bible Camp every July. Eagle Lake Camp, a ministry of the Navigators brings camp to our neighborhood kids. With an emphasis on scripture memorization and gospel focus, Eagle Lake has led many neighborhood kids to Christ and has brought families into our church. Rocky Mountain Calvary has been blessed to scholarship hundreds of local children to come to this $200 week of camp completely free.

Neighborhood Life Classes:

We are working closely with our neighbors and neighborhood ministries to invite parents to our property to take courses to better their future. We offer Financial Peace University and Raising Highly Capable Kids to our neighborhood families for free.

Serving and Loving Teachers (SALT):

For many years we have been going into our local schools and serving the teachers meals at important times during the school year. Our volunteers give through loving thank you and birthday cards and much more. We serve teachers at Sabin Middle School, Russel Middle School and Mitchell High School.

Mitchell Bridges:

We have been granted special access to the students and staff of Mitchell High School. Our volunteers have the invitation to come and tutor, mentor, teach ESL (ELL), adopt a sports team, and much more at Mitchell High School.

YouTube and Social Media outreach:

We are building our YouTube and social media platforms to allow us to strategically get the gospel out to the online world through video. The blessing of this ministry is that it is shareable and self-reproducing.

Youth Mental Health First Aid:

The Mental Health First Aid course grants a three-year secular certification that trains our church staff and volunteers in how to handle a mental health crisis. This certification helps our volunteers and staff gain access to our local schools but most importantly it prepares them to react to crisis in a safe and effective way.

Rocky Mountain Calvary Evangelism Team:

Our evangelism team is composed of volunteers that offer the gospel and prayer at large community events such as the balloon launch, Halloween, parades etc. This team also helps to invite our local community to our Christmas and Easter services.

Prison Ministry:

We have opportunities to reach out to prisoners through letter writing or by going into jails and prisons to minister to our incarcerated brothers and sisters and share the hope found in Christ. Rocky Mountain Calvary is continuing to pray for volunteers to go into these prisons through one of our partnering ministries.

Focus Ministries: Rocky Mountain Calvary has taken extra steps to partner with ministries that serve our immediate neighbors.

Life Network:

Life Network serves our neighbors in many ways, but the staple ministry is toward serving pregnant woman with the goal of helping at-risk-pregnancies and saving lives. Life Network provides parenting education for the mom and dad, as well as supplies the basic needs of a family with a newborn and much more. It is our joy to partner with this ministry.

CrossFire Ministries:

CrossFire has for many years provided food and hygienic supplies to our neighbors in need in a way that is honorable and dignifying. CrossFire serves to offer love and prayer, with the hope to prevent homelessness in our community.

Mercy’s Gate Ministries:

Mercy’s Gate also serves to prevent homelessness in our community through meeting financial needs such as utility expense help and also offers adult counseling, food and hope in Christ. We are honored to partner with each of our focus ministries.
