Refresh Conference 2017

When I look at the definition of refresh I get excited because God longs to provide refreshment to those that serve Him. My heart in facilitating this conference is that you make new friendships within the body of Christ, share the things that God is showing you within your ministry, and encourage one another in the agape love of Christ.

I pray you consider coming to this conference with the expectation of being encouraged and recharged as you face the various demands of pouring yourself out as you walk in your calling.

– Pastor Eric

…so that times of refreshing
may come from the presence
of the Lord — Acts 3:19

Pastor Eric Cartier
Pastor Eric CartierRocky Mountain Calvary
I realized at a young age that the Lord was calling me to reach those without Christ. Through teachings at Applegate Christian Fellowship and Calvary Bible College, God began to equip me for a life of ministry. In March 2000, I accepted a permanent position with Rocky Mountain Calvary that grew into overseeing and ministering to both teenagers and young adults. After five years of service, I was offered the position of senior pastor. I believe the Lord’s house should be one of prayer and that the Bible should be taught verse-by-verse. This allows God’s word to challenge and encourage us to walk in obedience. My desire is to lead by example, to be a disciple and make disciples, and to share God’s loving kindness. I have been married to my beautiful wife, Amber, for 10+ years and we have four children, Hannah, Adelyn, Ileanne and Wyatt.
Pastor Al Pittman
Pastor Al PittmanCalvary Worship Center
Al was born in Panama City, Florida in 1955. His father was a career soldier, so the family traveled extensively. In 1973, when Al was seventeen years old, the family returned from a tour in Germany and settled in Colorado Springs. Soon after, Al realized God’s call on his life and began serving in the music ministry as a bass guitarist with a Christian band called, “The Rays of Light.” It was during this time that Al met Norma, and they were married on July 19, 1975. Al attended Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, graduating in 1977 with a degree in Biblical Studies. Several years later he visited Calvary Chapel and he was hooked, rejoicing to be taught the Word of God. He couldn’t get enough of the verse by verse teaching, and became involved in the worship band at Calvary Chapel. In 1980, the Lord granted Al the privilege of becoming a full-time staff member with Calvary Chapel of Colorado Springs, where he conducted Friday evening outreach concerts along with other pastoral duties assigned to him. In 1991 Al and his family moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, and two years later he joined the staff of Calvary Chapel Albuquerque as an assistant pastor and co-worship leader. In the spring of 1997 the Lord called Al and his family back to Colorado Springs to pastor Calvary Worship Center. Although this was a difficult decision, they knew the Lord was leading them and they have seen and experienced God’s awesome faithfulness since returning to Colorado Springs, where the fellowship has grown along with their faith.
Pastor Ed Taylor
Pastor Ed TaylorCalvary Aurora
Pastor Ed Taylor grew up in Southern California. Having responded to the gospel in 1991 at Calvary Chapel in Downey, he spent eight years there learning, growing, and serving. In 1999, sensing the call of God, Ed and his family moved to the Denver area hoping to be used by God. In December 1999, Calvary Aurora began Sunday services and today impacts the community for Jesus in wonderful ways.
Pastor Scott Cox
Pastor Scott CoxCalvary Windsor
Scott grew up in a small town in Western Colorado and lived a fairly typical American boy’s lifestyle. He graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley in 1991. In 1992, after realizing that he couldn’t fill the void in his life with the things of this world, one evening, alone in his car, Scott surrendered his life to God. During that time, Scott met his wife Nancy and married her and moved to Colorado Springs where they attended Rocky Mountain Calvary. There they served faithfully in ministry and began volunteering in various ministries. In 2005, Rocky Mountain Calvary hired Scott as part of their pastoral staff. But the burden to begin a new work for God’s kingdom was still strong. In the summer of 2006, the Coxes sold their home and moved to Windsor to start Calvary Chapel Windsor where God is blessing their ministry today.
